Starting time – 6:15 Shotgun (starting time may vary depending on time of year)

17 weeks + playoffs
  • Team captains are responsible for non-members guest fee
  • On a 2nd instance of non-compliance to the above the team will forfeit their men’s league privileges and will be placed on the wait list. 
  • It is the responsibility of the team captain to educate other team members on the format of Men’s League.

Week 7 June 13/14 individual match play
Week 8 June 20/21 2-man best ball - match play
Week 9 June 27/28 individual match play
Week 10 July 4/5 4 man scramble (black tees)
Week 11 July 11/12 individual match play
Week 12 July 18/19 2-man best ball - match play
Week 13 July 25/26 individual match play
Week 14 August 1/2 2-man scramble - match play
Week 15 August 8/9 individual match play
Week 16 August 15/16 2-man best ball - match play
Week 17 - Steak Night August 22/23 individual match play
Week 18 August 27/28 playoffs begin



Rainouts will NOT be made up at the conclusion of league play.

Playoffs

  • The top four teams in the standings + wildcard eligible team will advance to the playoffs.
  • The format for all playoff games will be 2-man best ball – match play.  If the teams are tied after 9 holes another 9-hole match must be scheduled prior to the next playoff round.  If teams are still tied 2 players from each team will play sudden death.
  • Semi-finals are scheduled in September.
  • Tuesday winners will play Wednesday winners for the overall championship

2 Man Best Ball Match Play

  • 2 persons from Team A play match play against 2 persons from Team B
  • Each person plays his own ball for the entire round.  Only the best net score is recorded for each hole, however, the hole should be played out for handicap purposes up to the point of equitable stroke control.
  • Use 75% of  9 hole handicap
  • Possible 2 points

Individual Match Play

  • 1 person from Team A plays match play against 1 person from Team B (2 individual matches per foursome)
  • Use 75% of 9 hole handicap
  • Possible 4 points

2 Man Scramble-Match Play

  • 2 persons from Team A plays match play against 2 persons from Team B using a scramble format
  • Team handicap will be calculated using the following formula:
  • 20% of lowest handicap + 20% of total team handicap
  • Possible 2 points

Point System

  • Win = 2 points
  • Tie = 1 points
  • Loss = 0 points

4 Man Scramble

  • The only scheduled evening where all four team members play together
  • Play from Blue tee markers
  • Team handicap will be calculated using the following formula:

10% of lowest handicap + 10% of total team handicap

  • Points will be awarded as followed: 
    • 1st Place & ties – 3 points
    • 2nd Place & ties – 2 points
    • 3rd Place & ties – 1 points

  • An assortment of Long Drive & Closest to the Pin (0-9 hcp & 10 +)
  • Mystery Hole Prize

Rules

  • Play from the white markers (except for 4 man scramble).
  • Maximum 9 hole handicap = 18
  • Completed scorecards handed in to scorer.  (Completed scorecard = full names, team name, 9-hole handicaps, scores, net scores, etc.).        
  • All games that involve playing your own ball for the entire 9 holes will be used for handicap purposes (i.e. 2 man best ball & individual match play).  Also, please keep an up to date handicap on the rcga network (www.rcganetwork.org) if you are a member.  Ensure that low handicap player in the group is adjusted to a 0 hcp and all other players in the group adjust accordingly so applicable strokes fall on the most difficult holes.  If you have questions regarding this please ask  Dave for further explanation.
